Moving Locations, Re-Opening this Spring

Think "antique mall", but add in a little country store and decor. Black Bear Antiques has a little something for everyone, so stop on in and see for yourself!

We're always counting down until pumpkin season, so mark your calendars. This family farm should be a staple to any autumn trip, complete with a huge pumpkin patch and hayrides.

An engaging tour through a historic gold mine in Dahlonega, our whole family had a blast trekking through the mines. Deceptively large on the inside, this tour takes you underground to see all the equipment and techniques that gold miners used to use. They also offer panning for gold and gemstones. Certainly worth the drive!

A lovely antique mall tucked underneath Highway 76. They have both old and new, so don't hesitate to pop in.

This has been a family favorite for years. The Georgia Aquarium has a variety of species to admire, as well as specialty animal species (THE WHALE SHARK) that you don't see just anywhere. It's always a crowd pleaser for both kids and adults, so go take a look!

Fun place to go for kids of all ages with a variety of candy and toys in downtown Ellijay.  They even have gem mining!

Take a hike! Experience the wonderful trails and rushing falls of Amicalola Falls, complete with panoramic views of the Blue Ridge Mountains.

On top of being a lovely little picnic spot, this fountained pond is fully stocked and ready to be fished! Make sure to throw them back, it's catch and release only. 

Less than 5 minutes from the Cabin

Fish Trap Park is one of Coosawattee River Resort's many parks, but is special to us for its suspension bridge! It spans the Coosawattee River and leads rights to a gated dog park, so if your furry friend needs some play time, there's a place to go.

(If you use a maps app, make sure to map to the close side of the river, it will sometimes try to lead you all the way around.)

There are lots of hiking trails in Ellijay, too many to put here, but click on the picture above and take a look. It's always a great way to get in touch with nature!

North Park is Coosawattee River Resort's smallest park, but it's quiet and ready to be enjoyed. Sit by the Coosawattee River or by a campfire under the stars. Take a walk or quick drive to 208 Edgewater Dr to check it out.

• Enclosed, heated Junior Olympic-sized pool with 8-feet at the deep end and a large shallow end for the small ones.  Comfortable swimming year-round.
• A heated kiddie pool is available for the very little ones where they can splash & play in shallow water.
• Fitness Center is complete with treadmills, weight machines, free weights, rowing machines, and exercise bikes. Satellite TV and Wi-Fi are also available. 
• Game Room is a coin-operated arcade with games, pool tables, and an air hockey machine.
• Outside attractions, including tennis, basketball, and pickleball courts, plus an 18-hole miniature golf course. The equipment can be checked out at the Recreation Center desk.

East Park has access to the Coosawattee River, a playground, and a basketball court, all within the neighborhood! Nice and shady, you won't have to worry about sunscreen. Take a walk or quick drive to 449 Cherokee Trail (or Cherokee Drive) to enjoy the park.

 Foxhound Pool is open Memorial Day through Labor Day from 11 am-7 pm.  There is a picnic area and a pavilion, as well as a changing area and restroom. It's a quick drive to 186 Foxhound Dr.

Offering both a Lazy River Experience as well as their Adventure River Experience, you can go your own speed. Cartecay River Experience offers kayak and tube rentals, as well as a shuttle service to take you right back to the start.
